Exploring North Georgia

In the mountains of North Georgia near Atlanta, an incredible destination garden awaits — Gibbs Garden in Ball Ground.  Arriving at what should have been peak daffodil season in mid-March, we found the flowers had peaked in late February-early March.  Although late for the yellow daffodil bloom, we enjoyed the serenity of the trails through Japanese Gardens, bonsai and dogwood trees, and the gazebo reflection in the pond.  Looking forward to a return visit when daffodils cover the hills, or the roses or day lilies are in bloom.  Depending on when you visit these 220 acres of gardens, you could see water lilies, day lilies, roses, wildflowers, hydrangeas, wisteria, bluebells, cherry blossoms, crape myrtles and much more.  Check it out at www.gibbsgardens.com.
